Leah Anaka graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 1998. While at law school, Leah volunteered with Student Legal Services and acted as publisher of the University of Alberta Law School newspaper. After completing law school, Leah worked in software development and design. In April 2009, Leah returned to law and began her articles at Chivers Carpenter in Edmonton, and was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2010. She joined Field LLP as an associate in July 2010, where she divided her time between practicing human rights, employment, and labour law, and representing hundreds of Aboriginal clients pursuing claims for damages suffered while at church and government-run Indian Residential Schools. She has been a Board Member for the Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society, a non-profit organization that provides unique programs and services to Edmonton's urban Indigenous population, since 2012.
Leah joined the Simon Renouf Professional Corporation in January 2014.
